As a Sectional Ladies Director, you will be responsible for:

  1. Promoting Mother’s Memorial in your section by:

• Contacting pastors by phone, email (found in Breeze), or mailings April - June.

• Announcing at rallies.

• Encouraging pastors to take a special Mother’s Memorial offering on Mother’s Day and contacting them about it 2 weeks prior.

• Promote Circle of Sacrifice in your section at rallies, by email, call, text.

• Contact pastors and wives to ensure that any COS participants within their local church have visited our website to register for their COS participation.

• Trying to attain 100% cooperation from churches in your section by:

• Making phone calls to each church in your section one week before the deadline (July 1) to remind them of this deadline.

• Sending a thank you note, email, or text to pastors after the drive.

2. Coordinating arrangements for the Sectional Conference banquet by:

• Working with your presbyter and host church to get an attendance count.

• Work with host church on planning banquet meal (contact mid-January)

• Work with host church on space needed for both, banquet and ladies fellowship (contact mid-January)

• Work with the host church in advance to ensure they have the necessary media capabilities available for the Mothers Memorial presentation during the banquet (contact mid-January).

• If media capabilities are not available, it will be your responsibility to secure a projector and screen. If the host church does have media capabilities, you will need to share the video presentation at least two weeks prior to your Sectional Conference to ensure everything is working properly on their end.

• It will be your job to be assertive and make sure the meeting/banquet starts on time and stays on schedule. This is of upmost importance to our District Superintendent.

• At the beginning of the banquet, you will need to pass out each pastor’s Ladies Ministries promotional envelope and pledge card. Their Foreign Bible College Certificates will be in their envelopes if they sponsored any.

• After presenting the presentation make sure to collect all pledge cards from the pastors, as well as any Adopted Missionary Offering envelopes before the ladies fellowship.

• It is your responsibility to plan the ladies fellowship which is held during the ministers’ business meeting.

3. Contacting Women of Worth (widows of ministers) in your section by:

• Calling and sending them cards. (postage will be provided)

• Sending them birthday cards with a $10 gift card

• Invite them to the Mothers Memorial Banquet and any sectional fellowships

4. Connecting with new pastors’ wives in your section

• Call, text, send a card, and try to make them feel welcome, by helping them to connect with other pastors’ wives within your section

5. Attending:

• Planning meeting in January

• Sectional Conference

• Illinois Leadership Meeting in April

• Ladies Day at Family Camp

• Annual Allocation Meeting

• District Ladies Conference

6. Having at least one Sectional Ladies Ministries connect, approved by you presbyter

• Rally, luncheon, activity night, etc. (Every section is allocated up to $250. You may also consider an offering or ticket fee to help offset the cost.
